world telecommunication day celebrates the founding of the international telecommunication union in 1865. as one of the activities in support of the theme of ICTs: leading the way to sustainable development we are conducting a survey to obtain views on the perceived importance of the targets for improving connectivity and access in the use of ICTs as determined by the World Summit on the Information Society.

ein kurzer online-fragebogen soll ergründen, wie internet-nutzer die ziele des aktionsplanes für die anbindung an und den zugang zu informations- und telekommunikationstechnologien (itk) einschätzen. der aktionsplan war beim ersten teil des world summit of information society (wsis) im dezember 2003 beschlossen worden und soll bis 2015 umgesetzt werden. die international telecom union (itu) will die ergebnisse der allgemein gehaltenen umfrage am 17. mai, dem world telecommunication day, vorstellen. dieser tag erinnert an die gründung der itu im Jahr 1865 und steht in diesem jahr im zeichen nachhaltiger entwicklung von informations- und telekommunikationstechnologien.
