virpazar is a picturesque place on lake skadar surrounded by intact unspoiled nature. the lake itself is a natural habitat of many rare bird species like pelican, heron, cormorant, ducks, snipe, partridge and stork. for hunters and fisherman this is a real paradise. if you decide to visit us, you will be able to enjoy home-made fish specialities and various traditional meals. the food, the comfort of our rooms, the lake itself will make your holoday unique and full of pleasant surprises.

nur knapp eine stunde vom zentrum podgoricas entfernt liegt das kleine dorf virpazar am shkoder see. die albanische grenze ist nicht mehr weit, die verhältnisse wundervoll verschlampt und das französische referendum über die eu-verfassung momentan sehr sehr unbedeutend. nach einer ausgedehnten bootsfahrt sitzt die bunt zusammengewürfelte gruppe im schatten des restaurant pelikan, umsorgt vom herren des hauses, der kontinuierlich über stunden hinweg die damen der runde mit kleinen geschenken beschämt. nach und nach ist die weiße tischdecke mit duftenden blumen und kräutern bedeckt, ein akkordeonspieler beherrscht sein instrument (mit der aufschrift "weltmeister"). dazu landwein, shopska salata, aal und fischsuppe. wir sitzen nahe einem bahnübergang im gastgarten. die schwalben fliegen hinein in den gastraum, weil sie dort an der decke ein nest haben. es könnte ewig so bleiben. das glück scheint sehr sehr nahe zu sein.
